Early Childhood Intervention Teacher Jobs
Flexible roles. Meaningful work. Real impact.
At Access to Therapy, we are building an Early Childhood Intervention Teacher service designed to better support children and families in their everyday environments.
We are looking for teachers who want to step into work that is practical, relationship-based, and genuinely meaningful — supporting children to participate, learn, and build confidence in real life, not just within a classroom.
Whether you are looking for a full-time role, flexible part-time work, or a few extra hours alongside your current job, we are open to shaping the right opportunity around the right person.
What makes this role different
This is not a traditional teaching role.
You will work more closely with children and families, focusing on how a child participates in their daily life — at home, in kindy or school, and in their community.
The focus is on practical support that helps children:
Engage in learning and play
Build confidence in group environments
Follow routines and instructions
Develop social and emotional skills
Strengthen early literacy and numeracy foundations
Transition into school more smoothly
A big part of the role is also supporting the adults around the child — helping parents, caregivers, and educators feel more confident in what to do and how to help.
How you’ll work
As an Early Childhood Intervention Teacher, your work will include a mix of:
Direct sessions with children
Coaching and supporting parents and caregivers
Working alongside educators in kindy, daycare, or school settings
Supporting school readiness and transitions
Developing practical strategies that can be used day-to-day
Collaborating with speech therapists and occupational therapists where needed
You will work across environments such as homes, early learning settings, schools, and occasionally clinic spaces.
The work is varied, flexible, and grounded in real-world impact.
Flexible work options
We understand that great teachers are often looking for roles that fit around their life — not the other way around.
We are open to a range of employment options:
Casual with set hours
Consistent weekly hours with the flexibility of a casual arrangement.
Part-time
Flexible part-time roles that can work around family, study, or other commitments.
Full-time
A more structured role with a larger caseload and long-term opportunity.
After-school hours
Ideal if you are already working in education and want additional income or experience in early intervention. Afternoon and after-school sessions are available.
If you are unsure what structure suits you, we are happy to explore options together.

School readiness and transitions

Social interaction and emotional regulation

Warm and able to build strong relationships
